What TuneView Is

TuneView is an automotive tuning-analysis platform. You give it a real HP Tuners datalog from your vehicle, and it grades the calibration against what the engine actually did — then hands back graded findings with prioritized revision guidance, P1 through P4, worst first, so you know exactly what to address before the next pull.

It is strictly read-only. TuneView never touches the ECU, never writes a table, never flashes anything. It reads the evidence and reports what the evidence says. Grading, not guessing — that's the entire product.

Why I Built It

I spent more than twenty years in construction project controls. The job, reduced to one sentence, is holding confident plans up against measured reality and reporting the difference before it gets expensive. Do that long enough and it stops being a job and becomes a reflex.

Then I designed and built a 416-cubic-inch supercharged V8 for my own GMC Sierra, and when it came time to dial it in, I went looking for that same discipline in the tuning world. What I mostly found was folklore — forum threads, strong opinions, and advice that changed depending on who answered. Meanwhile the datalog was sitting right there: the engine's own status report, thousands of measured samples of what actually happened, and almost nobody reading it systematically.

A datalog is a jobsite report. I already knew what to do with one of those. So I pointed the project-controls instinct at engines and founded TuneView, a product of LambdaWorx LLC. The Sierra build was the origin story; the platform is what it grew into.

Parser First: How It Works

One design rule governs the whole system: the parser is the decision layer, and AI only explains. Every finding TuneView reports comes from deterministic parsing of the log itself — the same log produces the same findings, every single time. No model decides whether your calibration has a problem. The measurements decide.

The AI's job is translation, not judgment: take a finding the parser has already made and explain it in plain language a person can act on. That boundary is deliberate, and it doesn't move. A grade you can't reproduce isn't a grade — it's a vibe with formatting. I didn't accept that standard in construction reporting, and I wasn't going to ship it in software with my name on it.
